# Trading: the trade card

Pangea v3: every new launch, stock pairs and questions. Every launch since 2026-11-02 is a v3 launch, made by factory v3 on all five chains. This tab is everything new in v3: the factories, the fee hook, launch buys, stock pairs, the bridge price-gap fee, Solana, the security model, and plain-language questions and answers at the end. Bridging, routes and the APIs are in the V2 tab and hold for v3 except where this tab says otherwise.

- A trade goes through the coin's own pool on the chain your wallet is on: Uniswap v4 on the EVM chains, Meteora DAMM v2 on Solana. You pay in that chain's coin (ETH, BNB or SOL) and receive the coin, or the other way round.
- On a stock-paired chain you still pay and receive ETH, BNB or SOL: the card routes through the stock token for you. The pool's own fee is taken in the stock.
- Slippage: 1% unless you change it, with presets of 0.5%, 1% and 3% or a custom value from 0.01% to 99%. The card warns above 5% and again above 20%.
- Every quote shows the price impact and what you receive at least, before you sign.

## Cheapest chain

A switch in the card's settings, off by default. On, the card also prices the coin's pools on the other chains and, when one gives a better result after every fee, fills the trade there: you still pay and receive on your own chain, and the coin or the money is bridged back for you. You pay every fee of the route, shown before you sign. [Cheapest route →](https://www.pangea.trade/app/docs#v3-cheapest)

## Split across chains

- A buy can be split across several chains' pools at once ("Split across chains", off until you turn it on, remembered for your wallet), so a large buy moves each pool less. Each part is its own trade, shown before you sign.
- A large sale can be split the same way when the card offers it.
- Splitting is offered on coins launched before v3; it is not offered on v3 coins yet.

## When a route does not finish

If the far leg of a routed trade fails, a buy is refunded on your chain, and a sale's tokens come back or wait on the far chain with a "Bring them home" button on the card. Nothing is lost, and nothing needs support.

> **Note:** Prices on the five chains are held together by arbitrage, which is open to anyone: when one chain is cheaper, buying there and bridging is priced by the bridge's price-gap fee, so the difference is burned rather than taken out of the pools.
