# The bridge price-gap fee

Pangea v3: every new launch, stock pairs and questions. Every launch since 2026-11-02 is a v3 launch, made by factory v3 on all five chains. This tab is everything new in v3: the factories, the fee hook, launch buys, stock pairs, the bridge price-gap fee, Solana, the security model, and plain-language questions and answers at the end. Bridging, routes and the APIs are in the V2 tab and hold for v3 except where this tab says otherwise.

When a v3 coin is bridged from a chain where it is cheaper to one where it is dearer, the destination withholds the price gap above an allowance and never mints it: that part is burned. The other way, from dear to cheap, there is no gap fee. The bridge fee itself is set per chain, 0 to 0.5% (0.2% unless changed), and goes to the platform.

## Why

Without it, anyone could buy on the cheap chain, bridge and sell on the dear one, taking the difference out of the pools. With it, that difference is burned, and the price on each chain is held together by trades in the pools themselves.

## How it is priced

- No oracle. Every price is read on chain, from pools: the coin's own pool on each side, and a route from the pair asset to US dollars through other on-chain pools. A stablecoin counts as one dollar.
- On the EVM chains the source price is the lower of the coin's last two recorded pool closes, so one trade in the same block cannot move it; route hops are read in ways a flash loan cannot move.
- On Solana the price comes from the Meteora pool through a shared price log.
- The allowance: the source pool's fee, the source's message and gas cost, the destination pool's fee, and a margin of 0.1%. Only the gap above it is withheld.

## When a price cannot be read

An arrival the destination cannot price is held, not charged and not refused: it waits at the destination and lands once it can. Every send names the least it may be credited (your tolerance under the estimate: 1% by default, at most 20%); an arrival that would be credited less waits the same way. Nothing is burned while it waits, but it cannot be cancelled.
