# Trading fee

V1: coins launched before factory v2. This tab applies to coins launched before factory v2, from the v1 factory, and only to them. Nothing new launches there: every new launch is v2, in the V2 tab.

Each v1 launch set a trading fee between **0.3% and 5%**, once, at launch, the same on all five chains. No contract function or program instruction changes it afterwards.

The platform takes **20% of the trading fee**, with a floor of 0.2% of volume. The creator receives the rest.

| Trading fee | Platform | Creator |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 0.3% | 0.2% (floor) | 0.1% |
| 1% | 0.2% | 0.8% |
| 5% | 1.0% | 4.0% |

> **Note:** The minimum fee is 0.3% because Meteora keeps 20% of trading fees on Solana. At a 0.2% fee, only 0.16% of volume would remain, less than the platform’s share. This also means creators earn less on Solana: at a 1% trading fee they receive 0.6% there against 0.8% on Base.

80% of platform fees go to PANGEA buybacks.

**Who receives the creator’s share.** The creator wallets the launch named: one EVM address for the four EVM chains and one Solana address for Solana. On Solana, the fee split is enforced by Pangea's splitter program.

**Where the fee goes can change.** Either side may hand its stream to another address, in two steps — the new address has to accept it — so a project that changes hands does not have to relaunch to move its revenue with it.
