# Bridging

V1: coins launched before factory v2. This tab applies to coins launched before factory v2, from the v1 factory, and only to them. Nothing new launches there: every new launch is v2, in the V2 tab.

The token uses LayerZero OFT. Transfers burn tokens on the source chain and mint them on the destination, keeping the total across the five chains unchanged. There are no wrapped tokens.

Each chain’s pool received its 1 billion tokens at launch, so all five pools opened at once.

## Standard or fast

A standard transfer takes LayerZero’s own path. On every route the verifiers attest once the source transaction has 1 confirmation, and a transfer typically arrives in 4 to 16 seconds. From Ethereum, whose blocks are slower, it takes longer. [How to bridge, step by step →](https://www.pangea.trade/app/docs?v=1#v1-bridge-steps)

A fast transfer arrives in seconds: a relayer pays the recipient at once from its own tokens and is repaid when the standard transfer lands. It costs the fast lane’s own 0.2% on top of the standard 0.2%, plus the relayer’s price, which is capped at 10%. The bridge screen offers it only when a relayer is quoting your transfer. ## What a transfer costs

- **The token’s fee.** The token keeps 0.2% of every transfer between chains. It goes to the platform. On the four EVM chains it is fixed in the token contract and nobody can change it. On Solana, the fee split is enforced by Pangea's splitter program.
- **The message fee.** LayerZero’s price for carrying the transfer, paid in the source chain’s native asset. It is quoted for the exact transfer before you sign.
- **A Solana route’s setup.** The first transfer on a Solana route nobody has used yet also pays a one-time setup fee for that route. Every later transfer on it does not.

A transfer of 1,000 tokens: 2 go to the platform and 998 arrive.

> **Note:** Transfers are rounded down to six decimal places. Amounts smaller than `0.000001` token are dropped.
