# Launch fee

You choose one of the five chains to pay on and pay once, from your own wallet, in that chain’s native asset. That one payment covers the launch on all five chains, so you need no funds on the other four.

## What it pays for

- **Gas on the four EVM chains.** The launch transaction on Ethereum, BSC, Base and Robinhood Chain, priced at 7,290,000 gas each at that chain’s gas price when you ask for the quote, plus the 1,000,000 wei opening buy (0.000000000001 ETH or BNB) each launch makes in its own pool.
- **Rent and fees on Solana.** 0.0447 SOL: the rent for the accounts the token needs there (its mint, its pool and position, its LayerZero store and escrow, its record in Pangea’s program) and the fees of the transactions that create them.
- **A platform margin.** 20% on top of that cost, for gas moving between the quote and the launch and for a chain that has to be retried.

So the amount is not fixed. It moves with gas prices on the four EVM chains and with the prices of ETH, BNB and SOL. It is quoted when you prepare the launch, and the launch page shows it in the asset you pay in, with its approximate US dollar value, before you sign. A quote is good for 10 minutes; once it runs out, you prepare again for a fresh one.

**At today’s prices a launch typically costs about $8 to $10.** For example, TEST4’s quote was $8.16: $6.80 of cost plus the 20% margin, paid as 0.0112 BNB. TEST3’s was $9.20, from $7.66 of cost.

A dev buy is optional. If you set one, it is your own money: it is paid on top of the fee in the same transaction, on the same chain, and shown separately. The fee then includes what the buy adds to the launch’s own cost, 150,000 gas on an EVM chain or one token account’s rent on Solana, so the platform pays no part of it.

> **Note:** The fee is held, not taken, until your launch lands. If the launch never happens it is refunded, or you can take it back yourself after 7 days.
